Changing a Dial Combination

Changing the combination on your high security dial combination lock is as easy as counting 4-3-2-1. Left-Right-Left-Right. You dial you number on the "CHANGE INDEX". You will need the change key (see picture on right.
With Vault Door OPEN and LOCKED:

STEP 1
1. Turn the dial left (counterclockwise) at least four times to clear the lock.

2. Start with "0" at 12 O'clock. Turn to the Left and pass the 'CHANGE INDEX" with the first number of the combination 3 times and stop exactly on "CHANGE INDEX" the 4th time.

3. Turn to the Right (clockwise) and pass the "CHANGE INDEX" with the second number of the combination twice and stop exactly on the "CHANGE INDEX" the third time.

4. Turn to the Left and pass the third number of the combination once and stop exactly on the "CHANGE INDEX" the second time. STOP.

5. Insert Change key into slot on back of lock. Rotate Key Clockwise. Key should rotate 1/4 turn.

STEP TWO: dial your new combination on the "Change Index";

6. Turn to the Left and pass the 'CHANGE INDEX" with the first number of the new combination 3 times and stop exactly on "CHANGE INDEX" the 4th time.

3. Turn to the Right (clockwise) and pass the "CHANGE INDEX" with the second number of the new combination twice and stop exactly on the "CHANGE INDEX" the third time.

4. Turn to the Left and pass the third number of the new combination once and stop exactly on the "CHANGE INDEX" the second time. STOP.

5. Turn Change key Counter Clockwise and remove.
You are Done.

Test the new combination 3-4 times (see Opening a Dial Lock) with door open before closing door and locking the vault.
